About the event

The inaugural Singapore Healthcare Engineering Forum 2019 (SHEF 2019) was held on 29 March 2019, with more than 70 in attendance. This event was jointly organised by 5 organisations: the Biomedical Engineering Society (Singapore); Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers - Engineering in Medicine and Biology (IEEE-EMB) Singapore Chapter; Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – Women In Engineering (IEEE-WIE) Singapore Chapter; The Institution of Engineers, Singapore – Biomedical Engineering Technical Committee (IES-BETC); and Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF).

Taking a multidisciplinary approach to highlight advances in the field of Healthcare Engineering, topics covered included Patient Safety, Cybersecurity, Regulatory Challenges on Disruptive Innovation, and Quality Standards on Manufacturing and Distribution. Alongside speakers ranging from clinicians and biomedical engineers to regulatory specialists and business owners, Stendard was invited to contribute and share on quality standards that need to be considered in the engineering process.

ISO 13485 Adoption and Implementation - Overcoming The Burden With Digital Solutions

Our Director of Client Success, Tan Su Min, was privileged to attend the session and address the issue of overcoming the burden of ISO 13485 adoption and implementation through the use of digital solutions. We are happy to continue emphasising the importance of maintaining quality standards, as part of, and in encouragement of business growth. Furthermore, we are glad that we could share how the process is enhanced given digitalisation with the Stendard Solution™.
